As the business continues to assess property acquisition opportunities and manage its existing property portfolio, we are seeking an Investment Analyst to provide detailed financial analysis and commercial insight to support investment and portfolio management decisions.
The Role
Finance and Investment Analyst
The Investment Analyst will be responsible for researching and analysing prospective property investments, assessing their financial viability and identifying the potential risks and returns associated with proposed acquisitions.
The role will involve analysing property values, rental income, operating costs, projected cash flows, capital growth and potential resale values. The successful candidate will also monitor the financial performance of properties already held by the business and provide analysis to support decisions concerning retention, further investment or disposal.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential property investment opportunities.
- Review local property markets, economic conditions and relevant market trends.
- Analyse comparable property values and recent transaction data.
- Assess proposed property purchase prices against anticipated rental income and investment returns.
- Evaluate expected property running, maintenance and operating costs.
- Assess potential resale values and anticipated capital growth.
- Prepare financial forecasts and investment appraisals for prospective acquisitions.
- Calculate projected cash flows, investment returns and other relevant financial measures.
- Compare alternative property investment opportunities and their expected financial outcomes.
- Identify, assess and report potential financial and commercial risks before funds are committed.
- Monitor and review the financial performance of properties within the existing portfolio.
- Analyse whether existing properties continue to represent financially viable investments.
- Assess whether further expenditure or investment in existing properties is financially justified.
- Evaluate potential disposal opportunities and the financial implications of selling individual assets.
- Prepare clear financial analysis and reports for management consideration.
- Provide financial and commercial analysis to support informed property acquisition, portfolio management and investment decisions.
About You

We are looking for an analytical and commercially minded individual with a strong understanding of financial analysis and investment assessment. The successful candidate will be able to interpret financial and property-market information, identify relevant risks and opportunities, and present findings clearly to support business decision-making.

- Experience or knowledge of investment analysis, financial forecasting or property investment.

Qualifications & Experience
What We're Looking For
Applicants should have a relevant degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience in finance, investment analysis, economics, accounting, property, business or a related discipline.
Previous experience in investment analysis, financial analysis, property investment, portfolio analysis or a related financial role would be preferred.
